Lift Installation, Oscars Burnley

The client was very specific about the type of lift required for this project, they had previously used an ‘L’ shaped conventional platform lift, but they had found that some people had found it difficult to hold down the lift button to run and some people did not really like the feel of the open-style platform travelling in a shaft. They wanted a conventional 8 person passenger lift – however, with advice from structural engineers they could not build the pit required. The client contacted Axess 2 purely by chance at a trade exhibition, where they had seen our new Leonardo traction lift.

We visited the site and found that the Leonardo lift was more than suitable for the project as the lift only requires a 200mm pit and 2700mm headroom, with a smaller lift shaft required for a DDA compliant size, this allowed the client more retail area. As the lift has automatic sliding car doors and one-touch controls the users would not know they are travelling in a platform lift.

With a maximum power usage of 4 amps our Leonardo passenger lift will provide Oscars clients with a safe comfortable way to travel within the store.

Stephanie Butler the store owner said:
I am delighted with the end product provided by Axess 2, we really are looking forward to opening more stores and now feel we have found a truly exceptional lift company to work in partnership with, and with the low maintenance fixed costs we can plan our budget far easier.
